1. What is RTI ?

“Regional Training Institute”. RTI Jammu is one of the nine Regional Training Institutes of Indian Audit and Accounts Department.

2. When did this RTI, Jammu come into existence?

RTI, Jammu was inaugurated by Shri T N Chaturvedi, the seventh Comptroller and Auditor General of India, in

December 1989.

3. Where are the other RTIs situated?

These are situated at :

4. Who are trained at RTI ?

This institute caters to the training requirements of Group B and C staff of the user offices as well as other offices of Indian Audit and Accounts Department in some specialized course.

5. Which are user offices of RTI, Jammu ?

Offices of Indian Audit and Accounts Departments located in the states of Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. RTI, Jammu has 13 user offices attached to it.

6. Can an Officer(s)/Official(s) not working in IAAD be trained at RTI Jammu ?

No, this Institute provides training to personnel working under Indian Audit and Accounts Department only.

7. How one working in IA&AD is nominated for training?

The nomination is made by user offices for the courses approved by RAC.

8. Are courses not approved by RAC conducted by RTI?

Yes,   additional courses desired by Headquarters and user offices are conducted by RTI. These courses are however, approved by RAC in the subsequent meeting

9. What is RAC ?

It is “Regional Advisory Committee” which comprises the member representatives from all the user offices as well as our Headquarters training wing. This committee meets twice in a year, generally in months of February/March and September /October. The RAC finalizes the “Annual Training Calendar” for the RTI.
